Beautiful design and artistry can show up in the most random places, even the New York City transit system. This picture, from the 77th street station, is part of the MTA's
arts for transit program. It features some beautiful tile work. So take the time to appreciate the beautiful sights, but maybe keep pinching your nose to block out the "aroma". A few months back, I shared the plan for a living room setting in my Hamptons location. There are still a few details to finish (new rug on order, drapery to be installed, etc.) but it's getting a great response. A complimentary color scheme of tangerine and turquoise is grounded by neutrals. We're still waiting for a fantastic turquoise writing desk to go behind the sofa to really make the room exciting.
