The humble Rast chest. A blank canvas of solid wood goodness that I've had my eye on for several months. We need new night tables, ideally something with storage and frankly, I do not have the patience to keep Craigslisting/thrifting anymore. I did that with my highboy dresser and found a Phyfe inspired beauty for about $200. So yeah, I got spoiled.

I've got this headboard in a king size with a navy bedskirt. Still one of the best deals I've found for my home. It looks like something way more expensive and has held up beautifully. The secret, I vacuum it regularly. We've got white and yellow bedding with blue accents but I'm planning to change out all of the bedding for white because I'd like a crisper look.
The paper is measured in millimeters but a handy online conversion tool says that 4 sheets should be more than enough. The plan now is to order some of this gorgeous decorative paper to cover the drawer fronts. I love me some peacock feathers (note the new header) but this design is simple enough with the white background not to look riotous. Another way to ground the look; doing the chest frame in a tone of blue. Dark blue? More turquoise? Still up for debate. Glass or brass knobs will complete the look. Stay tuned!
