At $35 each, the price can't be beat. The only thing holding me back is I've been overwhelmed with too many ideas and none of them "undeniable". Until now.
The humble Rast chest. A blank canvas of solid wood goodness that I've had my eye on for several months. We need new night tables, ideally something with storage and frankly, I do not have the patience to keep Craigslisting/thrifting anymore. I did that with my highboy dresser and found a Phyfe inspired beauty for about $200. So yeah, I got spoiled. At $35 each, the price can't be beat. The only thing holding me back is I've been overwhelmed with too many ideas and none of them "undeniable". Until now. I've got this headboard in a king size with a navy bedskirt. Still one of the best deals I've found for my home. It looks like something way more expensive and has held up beautifully. The secret, I vacuum it regularly. We've got white and yellow bedding with blue accents but I'm planning to change out all of the bedding for white because I'd like a crisper look. The plan now is to order some of this gorgeous decorative paper to cover the drawer fronts. I love me some peacock feathers (note the new header) but this design is simple enough with the white background not to look riotous. Another way to ground the look; doing the chest frame in a tone of blue. Dark blue? More turquoise? Still up for debate. Glass or brass knobs will complete the look. Stay tuned!
