![]() Last Saturday I took a little field trip to the Brooklyn area known as BoCoCa (I smite the people who come up with these ridiculous nicknames),perhaps better known as Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens. I had been meaning to get down there for a while to check out some of the design shops and it did not disappoint. I found several places of interest, but I'll focus on one that really captured my attention called B Moore Design on Atlantic Avenue. ![]() The showroom and website have some really great design ideas I wanted to share with you. First off, the use of smaller tables grouped together instead of a traditional coffee table. This allows a lot of flexibility for smaller spaces and these tables are the perfect height for having a snack. I also appreciate the symmetry of both these rooms—it’s very calming. ![]() Lastly, I really like the use of artwork. In this picture, you see a large abstract painting used as a headboard. The bedding picks up all the tones in the painting to create a cohesive look. In the first picture, you see how the painting and candle sconces work with the lamps to fill out the sofa wall without looking cluttered. And the mirror in the second picture--well, I just really love it. Comments are closed.
