A perfect housewarming gift Fisherman will tell you that to get a good haul you need to know where to go and cast a wide net. In that sense, it's not too different from interior design. Always on the lookout for affordable and stylish items, I like to check out a variety of places. Hey, you never know where you'll find an unexpected and cool treasure--though those people who have parents and grandparents with attics ridiculously full of great pieces irritate me to no end. While browsing online, I found these sheets (very Jonathan Adler, playful chic?) for $25. And yes, they're 100% cotton (300 thread count). The candlesticks above? Also $25. Now, those of us who troll the web frequently for such things (shout out to my fellow designers), you may already know where I found these (and several other) bargains. The whole set on clearance for $10. But for the rest of you, time to go to HSN's website. Yes, Nate Berkus for Home Shopping Network has a ton of great items like accent tables, decorative accessories and bedding all very reasonably priced. And you thought all they had at HSN was Tony Little's Gazelle and Adrienne Arpel's creepy makeovers.
