One style I've never grown tired of is Frank Lloyd Wright's Crafstman design. What makes his architecture and furnishings classic is that they're adapted to their surroundings. Even in the room at the Met is built into a hill so when you look out the expanse of windows you see rolling fields of green.
One of the hardest things about being a designer is that when you know how many options are out there, it's nearly impossible to make a decision in your own home. Every time you think you've landed on the right thing, you see some cool new thing in a store or magazine or blog. One style I've never grown tired of is Frank Lloyd Wright's Crafstman design. What makes his architecture and furnishings classic is that they're adapted to their surroundings. Even in the room at the Met is built into a hill so when you look out the expanse of windows you see rolling fields of green. When design is done in a thoughtful way that takes into account needs, lifestyle an-just as importantly-setting, you've achieved beauty. So whether it's Oak Park, Fallingwater or even the Met, I'm ready to move in.
