If you're looking for multifunctional furniture, ottomans are an easy way to go. They can live in nearly every room of the house and serve as a coffee table, extra seating or a footrest. In most projects, I include at least one ottoman to interject some interest in a room.
Ottomans are a great way to introduce a little color and pattern into a room. If a sofa is like a winter coat, then the ottoman is like your scarf or hat--a great way to add a little personality. Sure you can go the custom route and have something really amazing made for you at an upholstery shop. Or, you can take a peek at Target's website where I found these beauties. All for under $300.
