I've been slowly but surely progressing on getting projects done around the apartment. Apartment Therapy has a contest they run every spring for smaller dwellings such as mine. My tiny apartment comes with some challenges, but that's true of most everyone who rents. My lease does not allow me to paint (or I forfeit part of my deposit) and the current color leaves much to be desired. So what to do to dress up my boring walls? Enter, the wallpaper panels. $5 Ikea wood frames I found some leftover wallpaper rolls at the day job hidden away in storage that were on the express train to Dumpsterville. They are similar in style to what's pictured above (though much prettier, in my opinion). I decided I would frame the paper in simple painted wood frames and hang in a grid of 4 near my entry. The plan is to hang a round mirror over the grid to reflect light from the window--and make sure I leave the house looking like a lady. I've already got 2 of the frames painted so I'll be sure to post pictures when I'm done.
