Ikea has a reputation that varies wildly from chief producers of home furnishings crap to saviors from sitting/sleeping/eating on the floor. It all depends on who you ask. I do own a few pieces, upgrading to other items over the years as time and budget have allowed, the way most people do. One department from Ikea I will never outgrow, however, are their textiles. For simple drapery panels or duvet covers, they are a fantastic source. After my post the other day about Target's new line with Liberty of London (and my need to start focusing on Spring--I hear it's still coming), I've been on the lookout for other sources for bright, fun florals. That bedding above comes in a few variations and I think it's perfect for "tween" girl bedroom. What 11 year old girl wouldn't love that? And, in 6 months when she's bored of it, you can change it out for $20. This round pillow, also from Ikea, is a great home decor interpretation of some of the spring fashion trends--graphic, almost digital prints and fuschia. And unlike the Liberty of London line, you can get these now!
