Last saturday, I enjoyed the beautiful weather by strolling down 5th Avenue in Manhattan, checking out all the spring windows. Hey, a girl can dream, right? I almost walked passed the new(ish) Tommy Hilfiger store when I remembered reading about the fantastic store design. I decided to stop in and it did not disappoint. There are 4 floors, 2 each for men and women with casual and formal clothing on different floors. But what they did so wonderfully was integrate a lifestyle into the layout. The furniture sprinkled throughout the space was exactly type of furniture the person wearing the clothing might have. Sure, most every store does this but few have done it as effectively. Broken in leather on clean lined loveseats next to dapper jackets and button downs. Vintage palm print wallpaper (think Beverly Hills Hotel) backing the black lacquer display shelves. Gorgeous crystal chandelier hung near whimsical print sundresses. With a setting like that, who wants to look at clothes?
